Yes, we have a range of veils, jackets and other cover-ups, belts and hair accessories. We don’t sell shoes.

We ask that you don’t bring young children to the appointment as it’s a long time for them to sit still (appointments are 2 hours long and most brides use the full time).

Can I make changes to my dress?

Yes, many of our brides work with our professional bridal seamstresses to add or change straps and sleeves, add or remove sparkle, line ‘see through’ elements, make plunging necklines a bit more modest, make a skirt less ‘poofy’ and make many other changes. With so many years’ experience of what you can do, we are ready to chat to you about how to make changes to your dress to make it absolutely perfect without spending the earth or taking ages to find The One.

How can I pay for my dress?

We take card payments as well as cash or bank transfer. All dresses do need to be paid for in full at the time of purchase, whether they are order-in gowns or ready to go.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

We don’t offer refunds, so it’s important to be sure it’s the right dress before you make payments and to check a ready to go dress over for minor imperfections to ensure you are happy with it (we will give you plenty of time to do this). All dresses are sold as seen.

We only offer an exchange at our own discretion under specific circumstances such as pregnancy. If we agree to an exchange, you will be liable to pay any additional costs if you choose a higher priced dress. If you choose a lower price dress we don’t reimburse you for any difference in price, this is to cover the cost of additional appointments and the original dress being off sale for a period of time.

I’m a curvy bride, do you have anything for me?

Absolutely! Plus-size dresses are very popular in our shop as we carry a lot more samples for you to try than many other bridal boutiques as well as ready to go gowns, and we work hard to have as much stock as we can in sizes 18+. Stock changes all the time, but we try and carry dresses up to a 32, and sometimes larger. Many order-in gowns can be ordered in custom sizes with no limit on what size we can order.

Yes, and unlike some shops we don’t make any profit from fittings! We do this by giving you the names of specialist bridal seamstresses that we have worked with for many years, and who will work with you and bill you directly – but we are always here if you have any questions or to resolve any issues.

Can dresses be made bigger or smaller?

It’s pretty easy to make dresses smaller – we’ve even had an 18 fitted to a size 8 – so you can widen your options by looking at bigger sizes. It’s more difficult to make a dress bigger, although there are some options in terms of letting seams out or adding corsets to zip-back dresses. We have years of experience so are able to advise you of your options.

I’m afraid not – as many of our dresses are one-offs, we need to make them available to any bride who is ready to commit. We aren’t pushy, and totally understand if you need to go away and think about it for a bit – but we can’t get another dress once one of our ready to go dresses has been sold to another bride.

What do I need to do / bring to my appointment?

As some of our dresses are sold as seen samples, where the dress you try is the one you buy, please do not come to the appointment wearing fake tan or lots of make-up as this can transfer to the dresses.

You may wish to wear the type of underwear you might wear on the day (strapless bra, body-shaping pants etc) although that isn’t essential.
The main thing to bring with you is an open mind, as very often a dress you thought you wouldn’t like could be ‘the one’!

What is a ‘Ready to Go’ dress?

A Ready to Go dress, also sometimes called Off the Peg or an Outlet gown, means that the dress you try is the one you buy. Most of them are ex-sample designer dresses from traditional wedding shops that were previously sold at much higher prices, but that doesn’t mean you are getting a poorer quality dress, and no one would know unless you told them!

We also have a range of brand new dresses that we can order for you in a range of sizes. They are still great value and don’t take too long to order (in some cases as little as 7 days)

Does Ready to Go mean they are dirty or damaged?

Not at all! We don’t buy any dresses that are damaged or stained. Sometimes if a dress has been tried on a lot, it may have the odd dust mark and need cleaning or have a few beads that need replacing etc but it will be priced to reflect this. All dresses are sold as seen, but we will try and point out any imperfections to you, although it is your responsibility to check the dress over fully.

When should I start looking for my dress?

There’s no single answer to that question as its very much down to when you are ready. Some customers buy years before, some just weeks before – and as many of our dresses are ready to go, in theory you can buy the day before (although we wouldn’t recommend it as most will still need altering!) The question to ask yourself is are you ready to commit if you find the perfect dress? If not, then it may be too early. But to have the widest choice including dresses that need to be ordered in, you also need to take into account that some dresses may take up to five months to be come in.
